Today we did a trip to the local national park Leivonmäki. Because we didn’t get a guide there, we decided to let one of the participants to guide us. She had been there before unlike the rest of us.

There we trained some basic survival skills like how to make a fire. Also we learned to listen and respect the nature and understand how big role the forest has in Finnish culture and identity. When we started to wander into the forest path, several of the pariticipants started asking where were we headed, until they realized we were not going anywhere, and just walking in the forest.

After the trip around the national park we went to a beach for swimming at Harjunlahti near the national park.
